Livin' the simple life...

I’ve been sick with a cold all week so I’m busy dreaming about getting Bucky’s sister…Maddy (Madison)!  Patience has never been one of my strengths

This is going to be my next dish.  My parents and brother have helped me so much with my move that I’ve decided to reward them with my cooking (or possibly punish)!  A fellow blogger gave this recipe ravishing reviews….we’ll see how it stacks up when Terry, Janice and Adam are the critics.  :)

Currently reading: “Water for Elephants” by Sara Gruen.  I decided to jump on the bandwaggon and see what this book is all about.  100 pages in and I’m not entirely sure I see what all the fuss is about.  Although, it’s very interesting to enter the days of a traveling circus by train, the book just hasn’t captured me yet.  To  be fair, I’m only 100 pages in…there’s plenty of time for me to change my mind!

So. Busy.

Sorry for no posts!  Moving is so much worse than I remember :(

Wish I was here.  So Pretty!

Potawatomi State Park!  Just booked a weekend in May camping!  YEA! :)

Off to dream land I go…

So Bittersweet…

I realized my life might be just a bit too busy to keep up with posting on a daily basis…but I”m doing my best.  I finally starting packing and my SUV is FULL of my clothes.  I shed a few tears while packing and the realization that I”m leaving Madison finally hit me.  I’ve had a hell of a good time while I was here and I will miss so many things about Madtown.  However, I”m ready for a “slow down” and a change of scenery.  I miss my family and friends waaay too much.  I know it’s only a month and a half but I’ll miss Dan and hate to be away from him.  I feel like we just moved in and got our own place and now we’re leaving already!  And moving in with the ‘rents!

On a positive note- we got a subletter for our apartment in Madison for the summer!  YEA!!  We lucked out and a family from New York will be subletting in June and July! :)  Maybe the extra money can get Dan and I a house in GB! ;) [[wishful thinking]]

I”m off to bed.  I have a busy day of work tomorrow and Dan has a teaching job fair tomorrow night.  Fingers crossed!

Sums up how I felt most of today ;)

Just another manic Monday…

What a crazy Monday!  Only four more days at my job here…and I STILL haven’t packed!  I’m putting it off for the last minute, of course!  Dan and I had to go get my car looked at (the check engine light was on) but it ended up being nothing!  Whew!  We then spent the rest of the night searching for summer jobs in Green Bay for Dan…and teaching jobs!  We even went out to buy resume paper but Dan refused to pay $14.00 just for paper!  Oh well…hope they accept the cheap stuff :)  Any summer job ideas for Dan…send them my way!!!  Love you all :)

My heart… It feels like my chest can barely contain it. Like it’s trying to escape because it doesn’t belong to me anymore. It belongs to you. And if you wanted it, I’d wish for nothing in exchange - no fits. No goods. No demonstrations of devotion. Nothing but knowing you loved me too. Just your heart, in exchange for mine.-Stardust

So in love….

My next endeavor- to make this scarf!

This is the book I”m currently reading.  I’m about 150 pages in and love it.  It’s like a modern day Huck Finn (thanks Washington Post) adventure of a brother searching for his kidnapped twin sister.  Just the right amount of suspense.  I’ll update with the final verdict as soon as I finish it!

Peaceful Sunday

Today will be a relaxing day.  For once, I don’t have to work! :)  I plan to go for a run with Bucky, then go to church…and then start packing for the rest of the day.  It probably doesn’t help that I haven’t packed a single thing yet!
